​Meander through the River Market neighborhood and hear the stories of the city’s beginnings, its middle and its present day. Discover patrons of the Pacific Hotel and their roles in the Civil War Hear the stories of Battle Row, Marble Hall and the colorful Wyatt Earp, Jesse James and Wild Bill Cody. Learn about performers at the old Gillis Opera House including the story about the life of a chorus girl and the demise of the Gillis Opera House.

Stroll down the Town of Kansas Bridge for a breathtaking viewof the Missouri River and here the stories of the founding of Kansas City and the influx of immigrants. Connect to recent players in the redevelopment of the River District in the ’70s and more recently, today. 

We'll also step inside some historic building and hear the stories spanning nearly 200 years of history. A vibrant energy radiates all through the River Market Neighborhood.
